Mike Thompson is the Lead Pastor at Still Water Christian Life Center. He graduated from Haines City High School in 1973 and attended the University of Clemson in Clemson, South Carolina. He is married to Kaye (Taylor) Thompson and has two daughters Jennifer and Kari. He is PawPaw to three GRANDboys: Weston, Beau and Chase.
Pastor Mike established Still Water Christian Life Center in his home on December 5, 1998. After four moves, the church now meets at its permanent location, 100 McKay Drive in Haines City, Fl. The church membership is in excess of 300 members and strives to share the gospel to our community and around the world.
Pastor Mike spends his personal time fishing, hunting and spending time with family.
Pastor of Missions and Family Life Groups
Wayne Culver was born in Long Beach , California, and lived in the Southern California area until age 21. He then relocated to Orlando as part of the grand opening team for Walt Disney World and continued working in the Disney organization for 39+ years as an Operations Manager and executive. Wayne also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a See-Bee during the late 1960’s Viet Nam era. He retired from full-time service at Disney in 2005, when he began his full time position as Pastor of Missions and Family Life Groups at SWCLC. Wayne’s Disney resume includes assignments in Paris, Hong Kong, Anaheim, and Orlando. Wayne has been married to Patsy for 32 years; they have two children and two grandchildren living in Haines City. Wayne and family came to SWCLC in the very early days while our church was still meeting in temporary facilities. He invests liberal time developing and teaching leadership training classes for SWCLC leaders. Wayne loves family time, and mission work, and he has participated in mission assignments in Haiti, Mexico, Peru, and numerous local and regional locations.
Corey Crosthwaite is a lifelong resident of Haines City. He graduated from Daniel Jenkins Academy in 2003 as class valedictorian. Corey continued his education at Polk Community College earning an Associate Arts degree in Liberal Arts. He then went on to graduate from Southeastern University in Lakeland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Church Ministries with a minor in Youth Ministry. Corey and his wife, Tia, were married June 2, 2007. Their daughter, Lexi, was born in October of 2013. They are eagerly awaiting the birth of their second child in May 2016. Corey has been a member of Still Water since 2002. He has been an active part of the youth leadership at Still Water for over 12 years. His calling and his passion are to see that teenagers would desire to live a life that says that they are unashamed of Jesus Christ. Corey enjoys any activities that involve the outdoors. He loves going to movies and concerts in his free time.
Paula O. Dodd
Paula O'Neal Dodd (pod) was born in Osceola, Arkansas. Her father was in the Air Force and after serving for 23 years, retired to Davenport to be near his parents in 1974. She graduated from Haines City High School. Paula was married to Robert Dodd on July 1, 1978 and they have two beautiful daughters, Beth & Leslie. Paula began working part-time as a Church Secretary in 1987, in order to spend more time with Beth. She came to Still Water Christian Life Center in July of 2002. She has served in Church ministry for 20 years. Paula loves to walk, read, work in the yard, the beach and her family and friends.
Jennifer Mock is a lifelong resident of the Haines City area and is the oldest daughter of Mike and Kaye Thompson. She graduated from Haines City High School in 1996. Jennifer has a bachelors in Business Management degree from Webber University, in Bapson Park Florida. She has worked in insurance for over 17 years in multiple areas including customer response and underwriting. Jennifer married her best friend, Matthew Mock, in 2001. Together, they have a son, Chase. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hunting and photography.

Heather Willoughby was born in Traverse City, Michigan, but has lived in Florida for most of her life. She graduated from Haines City High School in 2000 and continued her education at Polk Community College and Southeastern University in Lakeland. Heather joined the Still Water staff in February of 2007 and feels blessed to be part of the Still Water family! She and her husband Daniel have two sons Duncan and Gage.
